LOCATION

Cambodia is a country in Southeast Asia on the Indochinese Peninsula. It’s bordered by Thailand to the northwest, Laos to the north, and Vietnam to the east. The Gulf of Thailand is to the southwest.

GEOGRAPHY

Cambodia is mostly low plains, with mountains in the north and southwest. The Mekong River runs through the country from north to south, and the Tonlé Sap Lake is another major water source.

ECONOMY

Cambodia’s economy is driven by garment exports and tourism. Agriculture, including fishing and forestry, employs about 55% of the population.

Cambodia has a tropical climate with a dry season from December to April and heavy rains from May to November.

Cambodia is a constitutional monarchy with a multiparty democracy. The king is the head of state, and the prime minister is the head of government. The current Prime Minister is Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet.
